Your Gateway to Spatial Solutions

    WorldView-1

WorldView-1, which was launched on September 18, 2007, is a satellite that captures 50cm imagery covering 750,000 km² per day.

    About

WorldView-1, owned and operated by Maxar Technologies, is the successor to QuickBird-2 and was launched on September 18, 2007. It is the first satellite in the WorldView series, which captures high-resolution panchromatic imagery at 50cm and can collect up to 750,000 km² of imagery per day. The satellite has advanced geolocation accuracy and agility with rapid targeting and efficient in-track stereo collection capabilities.

    Features and Benefits
    • Bi-directional scanning
    • Can acquire images at low light levels, extending the range of imaging collection targets
    • Suitable for high-detail mapping of remote areas
